As a program coordinator with Ohio State University Extension, Michelle manages projects for the Strategic Initiatives and Urban Engagement unit. She began her career at OSU Extension in October 2016 as an office associate for the Central Region and Urban Extension unit.
Michelle has managed and created processes for projects including: OSU Extension Program Reviews, The Summit on Extension in Ohio’s Urban Communities, Leadership in the City online course, National Urban Extension Professional Development Summit, Extension in Ohio’s Urban Communities Plan of Work, Metropolitan Universities Journal Urban Food Networks Issue (managing editor), Journal of Human Science & Extension Special Issue on Urban Extension (managing editor), Annual City Highlight Report, OSU Extension in the City Blog, and the OSU Extension in the City website.
While growing up in Marion County she served many youth leadership positions and earned achievements as a 4-Her. She earned her BA from Ohio State in Ag Communications. After graduation she worked for Ohio Florists’ Association/OFA/AmericanHort. During her career at the national horticulture association she worked with many Extension personnel from across the country on educational programming and activities.
